About Me, Bob Johnson

I am a husband, father and retired business owner who understands the struggles faced by the families and working people of Lodi every day.

I am running for reelection to the City Council for one simple reason: to make local government more accountable to the people of our community.

Here are a few quick facts about me:

  • 30 year resident of Lodi
  • B.A. Degree, Journalism, St. Bonaventure University
  • Captain, United States Marine Corps, Viet Nam Veteran
  • Carolyn and I have been married for 41 years
  • Two sons – Bob, 37 - a paramedic and Larry, 35 – TV news executive
  • 40 years experience as a successful business executive

Lodi deserves a proven, independent decision maker who is available and responsive. I will listen with an open mind and use common sense in making decisions which will preserve the quality of life we enjoy in Lodi.

In my position on City Council, I am proud to have played a key role in the following accomplishments:

  • Completion of TCE/PCE Litigation
  • Expansion of Ground Water Cleanup
  • Public Safety Staffing Dramatically Increased
  • Utility Bond Ratings Upgraded
  • Increase of General Fund and Enterprise Fund Reserves
  • New Enterprise Zone
  • Addition of Blue Shield, ADM, Hampton Inn
  • New Sewer Line to White Slough
